HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS: Brand new and surprisingly
homey. A new addition to Brattleboro, which we feel surprisingly
comfortable with given our general aversion to franchises.
Fitness center, Heated pool and whirlpool. The usual chain
restaurants and a decent Chinese restaurant very nearby and
the downtown restaurants 5 minutes away. The restaurant at
The Chesterfield Inn (very good) is about 10 minutes away.
15 minutes from the studio.
Standard room starting at $109. and up-Includes extensive Continental
breakfast.

LATCHIS HOTEL: An older Art Deco place which
could use some sprucing up. It feels like a Jim Jarmush set
to me. Some people absolutely love it and others don't. In
Downtown Brattleboro, it features a three screen movie theater
which shows remarkably currently films with a decidedly quality
edge to them and a very good restaurant downstairs called Lucca.

Corporate rate Single weekday room starting at $55.and up-
Continental breakfast.

COLONIAL MOTEL AND SPA: A clean, privately owned local
motel. There is a newer section of the hotel which you might
wish to request; the rooms are somewhat larger and the general
upkeep is better. Pool, Sauna, Steam rooms and hot tub. The
usual chain restaurants, a decent Chinese restaurant, Panda
North, and Top of the Hill Grill are very nearby and the downtown
restaurants are only 5 minutes away. The restaurant at The
Chesterfield Inn (very good) is about 10 minutes away.

FIREWORKS
A new restaurant owned by the former owners of Max’s which
was such a favorite in Brattleboro. Downtown on Main Street,
the restaurant features elegant pastas, steak fritte, high

small, but there will be outdoor tables in the spring. Highly
recommended. Fairly Pricey
AMY'S BAKERY ARTS
Downtown on Main Street, this bakery offers a few great choices
for breakfast and a good range of big healthy sandwiches and
soups or lunch. There are other bakery temptations always available
and the best breads in town.
FOUR COLUMS INN
North of the studio about 10 minutes as opposed to the 15 minutes
south one travels to Btattleboro. Great food, great wine list.
Pricey.

A bit of a drive over East/West Road of 25 minutes from the
studio, but a very good restaurant and a bit less expensive

Hill. Very good wine list.
802) 387-5517
